Adam Hart
Potter, JewelerMember since 2019
Adam's artistic journey began in High School when he took pottery classes at Wesleyan Potters, quickly expanding his skills to include metalwork. Straight out of college, Adam became one of the youngest key members at the time and has been a passionate creator ever since.
Adam honed his craft at Instituto Allende in Mexico, where he studied painting, stone lithography and jewelry making. He furthered his education at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
His work is characterized by structural, and often purely sculptural pottery. Using pit fire, raku, and smoke fire techniques, Adam creates pieces that have unique color and textural qualities. His metalwork often contains found objects, and various metals and patinas that create movement and intrigue.
Adam describes his work as deeply meaningful. Each piece is infused with purpose and belief that the objects have life and meaning.
