Ever since I was young, I have felt the need to create.  It was while living in France many years ago, that I found my inspiration while seeing beautiful art integrated into ones daily life. It was there, while taking a sculpting class, that I found myself intrigued by the lone pottery wheel sitting in the corner.

Working with clay satisfies my soul, as I design each piece, never the same.

I love giving beauty to functional pieces.  Whether throwing on the wheel or handbuilding, my intent is to bring out visual simplicity using shapes, textures and colors.

I am also a watercolor artist, which leads me to gravitate towards the shades of nature in my finished pieces, with drippy glazes in pigments of blues and greens.

Fusing the natural world with my handmade art gives me a sense of one with nature, and as I express myself with clay, I am able to find solitude and peace in the process of creation.
